WOW!!! We are definately finding out what an interesting author Chris Van Allsburg is. Each year I look forward to hearing what lessons students discover hidden inside these stories. Please share with me your favorite book from what we have read so far and what lesson you feel Chris Van Allsburg was trying to teach.

My favorite book was Two bad ants becease it is like a diary of two ants
I love Jumanji because the lesson is to always read directions so if you are playing a game that you just bought read the directions.Pearl
THE BOY THOUGHT HE WAS THE BEST SAILER ON THE BOAT AND THOUGHT THE OTHERS WHERE NOT BETTER THAN HIM ON THE BOYS BOAT THAT HE SAILED FOR MONTHS OR YEARS.
My favoirte book is just a dream I think Chris Van Allsburg was tring to teach us to not litter and if you litter the feature will be not what you exspected it to be at all like if people keep on litterin the feature will be a mess so I think that the author was tring to teach us not to litter and to put trash in a recycleing bin Savannah

My favorite Chris Van Allsburg that we read so far is The Widow's Broom.I think the lesson that he was trying to teach is we shouldn't dislike the things we can't understand.
MY FAVRITE BOOK WAS THE WIDOWS BROOM BECAUSE ITS TELLING YOU TRY NOT TO BE AFRAID SOMETIMES YOU HAFT TO BE BRAVE
My favorite book is two bad ants .because they get into allthis troble while they are working for the queen ant andthey go to the water fountain an stuck in it but they find a way to get out of troble . but they get back in troble. then they got in troble when they where trapped in the house and the mans coffee cup and almost got eaten by a human bean. And then they found a way back home.they were tought a leson .bresayla
I really liked the book[The Widows Broom].The lesson of this story is don't be afraid of something you don't understand because it could be nice and just want to be your bff.
My favorite part is when the dog jumps up and bites the hanndle of the broom and the dog holds on but not for long because the broom shakes and shakes until the dog flys off and they can't find them until around the end of the story and I even think this is my favorit book in the hole wide world that I have already read because it is funny,cool,and awsome.I love this book so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much.

I laernd about cris van allsburd . he is my most favoit author.and my most favoit book is the poler exspress. it is the most coolest thing I have ever seen.becuase the train can move all by it self . and the most funnyest part is the giy he screamed at the deer. and the deer scraemed back. and the boy got a present from santa clus.and it was a bell.brianna
