Yesterday we read Everybody Needs A Rock by Byrd Baylor. In the book the author describes rules to finding a special rock of your own. Two very important points stood out to me 1. The importance of size...not too big that it could not fit in your pocket but not too small that it would easily be lost. 2. The importance of finding your special rock alone... no family or friends allowed. I kept thinking about these two requirements and I wondered why are these so important and what made those two out of the ten stick in my head? What do you think?

Well I think that number 2 is a very important excample because if a freind was with you your freind would want to have the speical rock.Pearl
I think those ruls are important because your rock has to be perfect and no one shauld be there when you are picking your rock it might desturb you or disract you to. sameer
YOU NEED TO FIND A PERFECT ROCK ONE THAT IS NOT TO BIG NOT TO LITTLE. YOU DONT NEED ANYONE AROUND WHEN YOU FIND A GOOD ROCK.

the rules are important about rocks to never help a freind to find a perfit rock for you and never tell somebody that it is a speacel rock and one more thing nerver to small or to big if it small it will be lost if it is to big you can't caray the rock.by chris abercrombie
I think the reason these stand out in your mind because if you have a rock too big how could you stick a rock that is too big in your pocket.If you have rock to small how would you keep track of it.If you have friends,or family with you how would it be your specil rock.
I like How The Book tells You How To Find Your own Rock. And you can find any rocks that is not bigger than your hand. Rocks Are cool do but They are not fun to play with. And you cannot play with a Rock And you cannot throw a rock ether. There are all kinds of rocks in the world.

I liked the book very much I loved thoose rules because I am not so sure about why you need to know that and I love a good mystery because mysterys just stand out in front of me and I like to watch mystery chanels at home in my bedroom but there is one thing i don't understand.why can't it be to big or to small?Because I am a rock collecter and I collect to big and to small rocks.

I think that my rock is the right size. because it fits in the mittle of my hand. and if it is too big and it will not fit in your pocket.and if it is too small it will be lost and it will not be find at all.
